Guys have eggs too?

This gem was on the wall of the Bodies Exhibit in Cincinnati. When I saw it I did a double take, as did several folks following close behind me. A couple people even pondered out loud the well-displayed pronoun mix-up.

“Do you think they did it on purpose?”

“Why would they do that on purpose?”

Both are fair questions. So too is the question of whether the “s” was scraped off the wall by a vandal. There appears to be a space where the letter could have been.

The exhibit, which displays plasticized cadavers in various stomach-churning ways (at least for those of us who have not been up close and personal with a non-plasticized cadaver in a Gross Anatomy lab), has been up since February so if it wasn’t the doing of a vandal or prankster I’m sure hundreds of visitors have pointed out the error.

If it’s a legitimate mistake, the question remaining is why after being wrong for so long it hasn’t been corrected.

If you decide to go, try not to eat beforehand and bring an “s” with you to stick on the wall.
